Reading for the Week: Jul 3rd-9th

Gift ⭐️  The Chariot

The gift this week is that things that were once stagnant are finally getting some forward momentum. The long holiday for those of you in the US may have slowed things down a bit, but we'll make up for it by charging through our duties for the rest of the week and getting new projects going. There is so much to be said for just getting off your butt and doing things whenever you start to feel grumpy or dissatisfied. It's amazing what a difference it can make to just take care of a couple small things around the house, or to deal with a couple of the tasks on your plate at work. It doesn't have to be a huge accomplishment or perfect masterpiece: the key is just getting unstuck and doing *something.*

Challenge ⭐️  Six of Pentacles Rx

The challenge as you begin to undertake some new things is that it won't all pan out the way you might want in a perfect world. Nothing ever does (and there is no perfect world!), but right now especially it may feel like one step forward, two steps back. What you can't see is that you actually are making progress. It just might not feel like it at the moment. Try imagining that you are a plant trying to spread its seeds in order to grow and expand. The plant casts hundreds of seeds but only a few may actually take root. This is part of the creative process: what may feel like losses are just part of the process of growth.

Advice ⭐️  The Emperor

Our advice from the cards this week is to discern which of those seeds we've planted are really taking root and to put all of our energy there. It isn't always easy to tell at first what will bear fruit and our priorities may change from one week to the next, but see if right now you can find one thing you'd like to see flourish and strengthen over the next month and put your energy and resources into its growth, without worrying so much about those things that don't seem to be working out or that you don't have time for right now. They very well may come back around again later. And in the meantime, you'll marvel at what you've managed to create.
